George Alan O'Dowd is a homosexual British pop singer and DJ better known by his stage name Boy George. Boy George, who often went by the eponymous "Boy" during the 1980's, was the lead singer and face of the Grammy-winning band Culture Club. Some of their most popular songs included "Do You Really Want to hurt Me?" and "Karma Chameleon."

After the break-up of the band, O'Dowd became addicted to heroin and had a variety of run-ins with the law. As of November 2008, it is not clear if he has successfully gotten himself off drugs.
