Brady Campaign

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence are affiliated American nonprofit organizations that advocate for gun control. Founded in 1974, the organization was renamed in honor of James Brady in 2001.
On Mother's Day, May 14, 2000, 750,000 demonstrated on the National Mall for the "Million Moms March" that was organized by the Brady Center.[1]
The organization was a primary lobbyist for the Brady Law which was enacted in 1993.
