Breathing is the act of drawing air in and out of one's lungs.

Breathing as Stress Management and Meditation

Conscious breathing is considered the most fundamental meditation method within psychology, Yoga, Buddhism, Zen, Hinduism, Taoism, and the martial arts especially Tai Chi and Chi Kong.

Among modern psychologists, Chinese medicine and most other complementary medicine systems breathing is considered the most important of all stress management techniques.[Citation Needed]
