A CAPTCHA (acronym for Completely Automated Public Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a type of test on the internet that determines whether the current user is a human or an internet bot. CAPTCHAs are used to prevent bots from performing certain tasks, such as creating user accounts.

This type of CAPTCHA is an image that contains hard-to-read text that is supposed to be only readable by a human. To pass the test, the human must type the text that they see in the image, and the website will determine if it is correct.
