CEF is an acronym for Computer Emulation Framework. It is a specification for a creating computer emulators in software. CEF differs from other emulation schemes in that it implements each hardware subsystem as a separate reusable component. These components can be connected together to easily create complete emulations.
CEF32 is an open source, public domain implementation of CEF on Microsoft Windows, written in Borland Delphi. It supports various components and emulators including the MITS Altair 8800, Processor Technology SOL-20, and Cosmac Elf.
