Capitol Hill refers to the place in Washington, D.C., located on a small hill, where Congress has its main building (the "United States Capitol") and holds its votes. The office buildings for the members of the House and Senate are nearby.

Capitol Hill is used as a synonym for Congress.

Capitol Hill also refers to the neighborhood immediately to the southeast of the U.S. Capitol building.
