A sin is a behaviour defined by a nominal group of people as bad, usually on entirely arbitrary grounds. It is often the case that God is invoked to justify the classification of the behaviour as bad however this is most likely to be a smoke screen for that group's own prejudices. This is made all the more nonsensical by the fact that most religious groups reserve final judgement on all mankind for God himself and therefore making their own judgements on individual behaviour could be interpreted as blasphemous.

Sinful behaviour is usually quite enjoyable and often practised by the groups who seek to ban it (see Ted Haggard).
