I think what Bugler was trying to say is that just because a county has a dominant Muslim/Islamic population it is not necessarily Islamic in that its government and legal system may be secular. - I suppose they aren't neccessarily the same thing - depending on cultural/political attitudesas well as religious affiliation. Albania is Moslem majority, but is is Islamic? I've never been, but I rather think not - not in the way we think of Islamic, or Albanian. Bugler 15:40, 20 June 2008 (EDT)
So we should distinguish between Islamic and Muslim in some way? Gosh, that's a fine hair to split, but I suppose it can be done. I get my historical information on the Islamic Civilization from Arnold Toynbee and his A Study of History. But I get my religious information on Islam and Muslims from a variety of more modern sources.
