Concord is a town in Massachusetts. It is best known for being (along with Lexington) the starting point for the American Revolution. It was at Concord, on April 19, 1775, that American colonists (members of militias from many towns in Massachusetts and New Hampshire) first fired on British soldiers in response to a command from their commanding officers.
