Connie Mack, a Republican, was the United States Representative for Florida's 14th district from 2005 to 2013. He ran for a seat in the United States Senate against Democratic incumbent Ben Nelson in 2012 but lost.

Before serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, Mack was a member of the Florida House of Representative.
