Cori Bush (born July 21, 1976 (age 47)) (no relation to the Bush dynasty) is a nurse, pastor, and far-left Democrat who ran for United States House of Representatives from Missouri's 1st congressional district in the 2020 elections. A single mother who had been a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault,[1] and was formerly homeless, Bush apparently believes the notion that progressivism lifts poor people out of poverty and into prosperity when such has not been proven to be the case.

Bush led the mob outside the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey with a bullhorn screaming, "You can't stop the revolution!"[2] The McCloskey's were indicted by Soros prosecutor Kim Gardner for exercising their 2nd Amendment rights on their own property when they were assaulted and threatened by the mob of white Black Lives Matter terrorists.[3]

She has called for defunding the Pentagon to allocate the money for social services.[4]

2020 U.S. House election in Missouri's 1st district

Bush announced in mid-2020 her run for the United States House of Representatives to challenge incumbent Lacy Clay, a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus who, according to the former, isn't left-wing enough.[5] She narrowly won the Democrat primary over Clay in a major upset,[6] and may become the fifth member of the Squad, as she easily won the general election in the highly liberal district.

Bush is an anti-Israel activist who supports the radical BDS movement.[7]
