Debra Strobel "Deb" Fischer (born March 1, 1951) is the senior United States Senator from Nebraska. She was elected on November 6, 2012, to replace retiring Senator Ben Nelson.[1] Prior to her election to the Senate, Fischer was a member of the Nebraska state legislature.
