After the Berlin Wall fell, leftists turned to environmentalism and declared that global warming was a evil to be avoided only be the forcible redistribution of 100s of billions of dollars every year from the industrialized West to the treasuries of third-world governments. They sought to justify this scheme as the only way to "fight climate change", as if men were more powerful than Nature.

But is one degree of warmer average weather going to hurt us, or help us? And if it's going to to be good for us, do we really deserve all the credit?

The theory that natural variations in the length of the sunspot cycle regulate the amount of cosmic rays that reach the earth, and that these in turn influence cloud formation, has received little attention. But maybe God set up the natural environment so that in the 20th and 21st centuries warmer weather would improve food production and reduce winter deaths of the poor and elderly.
