Doctrine of Creation is a pilliar of all the Abrahamic faiths. In Christianity Romans 1:25 emphasizes the need to serve the Creator and not the created things, keeping the two separate. Saint Paul's caution in Romans 1:25 and in the slightly earlier Romans 1:22-23 tells us that it is a sin to serve the created things instead of the Creator. In their writings both Augustine and Calvin emphasized such a separation. Calvin argued against a monastic renunciation of the world, believing that contempt of the world (as argued by some Christian monks of his time) to be an incorrect interpretation.[1]
