A documentary is an artistic compilation, typically in film form, used to convey non-fictitious information for a mix of educational or entertainment purposes. The term "documentary" often implies truthfulness, but this is sometimes not the case. Moreover, documentaries include elements commonly used in other film genres, such as horror.[1]
