Dormitory

A dormitory, or dorm for short, is a building in which college students live. Most dormitories are operated by the college or university, although some "privately owned" dormitories exist. Dorm rooms resemble apartments, although often they do not have full kitchens.

Each floor in a dormitory usually has at least one student, known as a Resident Assistant or Resident Advisory (RA for short), who serves as a leader and is a member of dormitory staff.
