'''Doug Wead''' (born May 19, 1946) is a presidential historian, philanthropist and political strategist. He was Special Assistant to [[President of the United States|U.S. President]] [[George H. W. Bush]], and is the author of more than thirty books.  In 2012, he was an advisor to the presidential campaign of [[Ron Paul]].
