Duck (Spanish: pato, French: canard, German: Ente, Greek: πάπια) wild or domesticated web-footed swimming birds of the family Anatidae.

Ducks are generally divided into two varieties, surface feeders who 'dabble' on the surface and bottom feeders who dive to the bottom of the body of water they reside on to feed there.

Ducks are widely distributed across the world and exist in many distinct varieties. The differences in duck species is sometimes used by liberal believers in evolution as an example of evolution, but there is no recorded evidence of a duck species ever changing morphology to adapt to a new environment.
