E-PARASITE Act is a concise neologism use to refer to either SOPA or PIPA by their opponents. An E-PARASITE Act allows established entertainment businesses to leech off of existing Internet technologies and prevents newer, smaller business from benefiting from innovative, new business models and ideas. Instead of adapting to new environments, established, rent-seeking businesses might seek the aid of intrusive legislative bodies in order to force the environment to adapt to the will of the establishment.
