Elaine of Astolat

Elaine of Astolat, who died of her unrequited love for Sir Lancelot, is a figure from Arthurian Legends. She is also known as Elaine the White or Elaine the Fair. Elaine is the inspiration for Lord Alfred Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott.
