Elvis Dumervil is a National Football League defensive end for the Denver Broncos. He played collegiately at the University of Louisville. In the 2006 Gator Bowl, Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick stomped on his leg, an incident which led in part to him being kicked off his team. In 2006, Dumervil was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the forth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. As a rookie defensive end, he played in thirteen games and made 14 total tackles and 8.5 sacks, the third best total for NFL rookie defenders in 2006. In a game against the Cleveland Browns he made three sacks.
