Eoghan Harris

Senator Eoghan Harris is an Irish opinion columnist and scriptwriter. In the 1980s he worked for the Irish state television company RTE . At the same time he was a secret member of the Marxist Irish Worker's Party and worked to advance the agenda of the party using his influence in RTE.[1] The Party supported free availability of contraceptives, divorce, abortion and gay rights in addition to state control of the means of production. The party played an important role in moving Irish people away from conservative attitudes to divorce, contraception, abortion, etc.
