Feticide is a term to describe the homicide of an unborn child, usually in conjunction with the homicide of the child's mother. The person in the womb, with rights known as personhood, has a right to live and feticide ends that chance. The military court system is trying to charge Nidal Malik Hasan with 14 murders, this includes the unborn that perished in the terrorist massacre.[1]

Other instances of feticide include a pregnant mother ending her own unborn child's life by gunshot.[2] Also, feticide could be the motive when a man assaults his pregnant girlfriend and subsequently the child dies.
