Fisherman's Friend is a popular brand of mint lozenge, originally developed in the 19th century by pharmacist James Lofthouse. It was originally designed to provide workers at sea relief from common symptoms caused by their work. Fisherman's Friend is available in a number of countries worldwide, with China providing a rapidly-expanding market.[1]
