Fossil fuels - coal, oil and natural gas, are a believed to be non-renewable source of energy. Scientists claim they were formed from plants and animals that lived up to 300 million years ago. Other scientists claim that fossil fuels are found in deposits beneath the earth created through abiotic processes.[1]
