George Douglas Howard Cole, known primarily as G. D. H. Cole, was an author, prominent Fabian socialist, and advocate of what is sometimes regarded as libertarian socialism.

One of Cole's first works was a translation of Jean Jacques Rousseau's book The Social Contract into English.
