Gabriel Gomez is the Republican Senate candidate running in the Massachusetts special election to replace John Kerry. His opponent is a career politician, liberal Ed Markey.
Gomez was born in Los Angeles, the son of Columbia immigrants. He was a Navy pilot and Navy SEALS platoon commander. He left the Navy in 1996 and received a MBA from Harvard Business School.
Gomez is married with 4 children.
