George Beebe is the former director of the CIA's Russia analysis. He spent more than two decades as an intelligence analyst, diplomat, and policy advisor, including as director of the CIA's Open Source Center, and a Vice Presidential advisor on Russia matters. As of 2024 Beebe served as director of grand strategy at the Quincy Institute.

Prior to joining Quincy Institute, Beebe was Vice President and Director of Studies at the Center for the National Interest and before that he served as president of a technology company that measured the impact of events, issues, and advertising campaigns on audience views.

In 2019 Beebe authored The Russia Trap: How Our Shadow War with Russia Could Spiral into Nuclear Catastrophe warning how the United States and Russia could stumble into a dangerous military confrontation.
