Georgia Guidestones
The Georgia Guidestones is a stone-monument in Elbert County, Georgia. It is almost twenty feet high, consists of six granite slabs and weighs almost 100 tons. It is also called the "American Stonehenge". The monument was built in 1980 and the client is unknown. However, it has been suggested that CNN's Ted Turner could have commissioned the building of them.[1]
Inscription
The stone slabs contain inscriptions, that promote population control and environmentalism. They are translated in English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin and Russian.
