Giotto di Bondone lived in Italy from 1267 to 1337 AD. He was a typical Renaissance Man, and was especially skilled at painting. He brought unprecedented elements of realism into his paintings, and invented the bell tower for the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral in Florence.
