Give Me The Beat is an electronic pop song from Ghostland Observatory, a duo from Austin, Texas. It was the fourth track from their fourth studio album, Codename:Rondo.
The song talks about a young man, minding his own business, who is first approached by a drug dealer trying to make a deal, then by a man in a Cadillac offering him stolen and bootleg merchandise. The Cadillac-driving man then offers him his choice of prostitutes. In all three cases, he refuses, saying he only wants music.
