Gregory W. Meeks is the Democratic party representative from New York's 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House. Meeks chaired the House Foreign Affairs Committee in the 117th Congress. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) named Meeks one of the most-corrupt members of Congress.[1][2] Meeks is a sponsor of the communist Green New Deal and Medicare for All bills.

As chair of the House Foreign Relations Committee, Meeks re3peatedly blocked efforts to sanction entities linked to United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In September 2021 Meeks killed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act which would have required the Secretary of State to report to Congress on whether the UFWD can be sanctioned under existing laws that allow the executive branch to punish entities involved in PRC's assault on democracy in Hong Kong, the Uyghur genocide in Xinjiang province, its cyber-attacks against western government and industrial targets, and its transnational criminal activities.[3]

Meeks retained a close personal relationship with the Awan brothers at the center of the Democrat IT scandal.[4]
