Ground Rule Double

Baseball Ball a.jpg

In baseball, a ground rule double is when a batted ball bounces on the field in fair territory and then over the wall and out of play (the wall can be in fair or foul territory). The hit is scored as a double and all runners on base automatically advance two bases.
