A '''gun-free zone''' is a place where, by [[law]] or company or another rule, no person may bring a [[gun]] on-site.

Ironically, the [[Fort Hood]] venue where thirteen soldiers died, was a gun-free zone, per military regulation. So also was Sandy Hook Elementary School in [[Newtown]], [[Connecticut]].
