Hadith (Arabic الحديث) are written and oral traditions relating to the life and deeds of Muhammad. Arabic scholars study hadith to determine what is acceptable for Muslims to do, say, and think. Most Muslims consider approved hadith to be essential in clarifying what is said in the Qur'an.[1]
