Hal Monroe Weathersby (September 21, 1895 – August 15, 1965) was an American educator associated from 1911 to 1956 with the Southern Baptist-affiliated Louisiana College in Pineville in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. The Weathersby Fine Arts Building on the LC campus is named in his honor.

His parents were William M. Weathersby (1849-1926) and the former Hallie Henington (died 1919), who are interred at Clinton Cemetery in Clinton in Rankin County, Mississippi.[1] Weathersby obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Baptist-affiliated Mississippi College in Clinton, and his Master of Arts from the University of Chicago. From 1911 to 1914, he was professor of history and Greek. He was the college dean from 1914 to 1956, after which time he was dean emeritus until his death nine years later just a few weeks before his 70th birthday. He was the LC acting president from 1941 to 1942[2]between the terms of Claybrook Cottingham (1881-1949) and Edgar Godbold (1879-1952). 

Weathersby and his wife, the former Matalee Thompson, had three children: Hal Thompson Weathersby (1914-2012), a  Bible scholar and professor of anatomy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, until his retirement in 1980;[3] Dr. Scott Monroe Weathersby (1912-1995), who is interred in Ruston, Louisiana,[4]and Rose Weathersby Normand (1919-1984).[5] A Baptist, Weathersby died in Pineville and is interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana.[2]
