Half-truth

A half-truth is a statement that is partially true or that omits material information, especially if such a statement is intended to mislead.[1] A half-truth can be just as fraudulent as an affirmative statement that is untrue; in fact, omission of material information is the most common form of inequitable conduct in patent law. There is a saying that a half-truth is a whole lie.[2]
