A harvest is the season when ripened crops are gathered. Harvest also refers to the gathering of anything, but particularly crops.

Christian churches often celebrate a harvest festival in the autumn, where crops or other produce are either presented at the altar, or collected and given to the needy. A popular harvest hymn is We Plough the Fields and Scatter.
