The Heisman Trophy is the top individual honor in college football.

Tim Tebow became the youngest to win the prize when he was a sophomore playing quarterback for the University of Florida. He led his team to a remarkable two national championships.

In 2012, "Johnny Football" (Johnny Manziel) became the first freshman to win the prize. His acceptance speech was widely praised.

In 2014, the outspokenly Christian quarterback Marcus Mariota won the Heisman Trophy, despite having been offered only one scholarship by a major college football program.
