Day of the Holy Innocents - put in date
The '''Holy Innocents''' were the children massacred by the paganist [[King Herod]] shortly after the birth of [[Jesus]], in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Him. It is described in Matthew 2:16-18.
Historical estimates range from dozens of innocent victims of this slaughter, to thousands. The Day of the Holy Innocents is remembered on December 28.
