Holy of Holies

Template:Expand The Holy of Holies was the term referring to the innermost room of the Tabernacle and later the Temple. It was in the Holy of Holies that Yahweh dwelt.

In the sack of Jerusalem by Pompey Magnus, Pompey entered and defiled the site as it was in the Second Temple, as described in Flavius Josephus' account of the battle.
