In regards to homosexuality and health, the homosexual population has a significantly higher incidences of a number of diseases. One of the reasons for homosexual population having higher incidences of some diseases is the significantly higher incidences of promiscuity in the homosexual population. In addition, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 1994 to 1997 the proportion of homosexual men stating they had anal sex increased from 57.6 percent to 61.2 percent.[1] Although homosexual men may engage in sexual practices which may put them at risk, studies report that anal sex can be an important risk factor for the relay of many diseases.[2][3][4][5][6] In addition, in regards to homosexuality and health, the homosexuality population has significantly lower rates of various measures of mental health.

In 2004, the prominent medical website, WebMD, stated the following: "Men who have sex with men and women are a "significant bridge for HIV to women," the CDC's new data suggest."[7]

Below are some articles in regards to homosexuality and health that cite medical literature:

Homosexuality and smoking

In regards to homosexuality and smoking, the recent medical literature states that homosexual men and lesbians in the United States have significantly higher rates of cigarette smoking than heterosexuals.[8][9]

Homosexuality and violence

Another factor that is notable in regards to homosexuality and health is the significantly higher rates of domestic violence in homosexual couples. In addition, according to experts homosexual murders are relatively or quite common and often homosexual murders are very brutal.

Bible, homosexuality, and sound health practices

Given the many diseases associated with homosexuality, the Bible prohibition against homosexuality is arguably one of the many examples where the Bible exhibited knowledge that was ahead of its time.

Untruthful homosexual activists' ideology cost lives

The Family Research Council offered the following glimpse of how untruthful homosexual ideology resulted in the loss of human life:

In 1995, long after the deadly effects of AIDS and other STDs became widely known, homosexual author Urvashi Vaid expressed one of the goals of her fellow activists: "We have an agenda to create a society in which homosexuality is regarded as healthy, natural, and normal. To me that is the most important agenda item." Debilitating illness, chronic disease, psychological problems, and early death suffered by homosexuals is the legacy of this tragically misguided activism, which puts the furthering of an "agenda" above saving the lives of those whose interests they purport to represent.[10]

In January 2012, Vox Day reported that two male teenagers who had made videos for the teenage homosexuality anti-suicide project the It Gets Better Project died by suicide. [11] Vox Day also indicated that it doesn't get better and that homosexuality is a deviant lifestyle that homosexual propagandists promote (see: Homosexuality and choice and Ex-homosexuals).[12]

Christian apologist Matt Slick on the harmfulness of homosexuality to society

The Christian apologist Matt Slick who owns the popular website Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (CARM) declared:

Saying that homosexual behavior harms no one is not true. The very lifestyle of homosexuality is highly promiscuous and brimming with disease, although pro-homosexuals will try and separate the behavior from related illnesses in their attempt to demonstrate that homosexual behavior doesn't harm anyone. But the evidence doesn't support that notion.[13]
