Howard Earl Gardner (born July 11, 1943) is an American developmental psychologist and the John H. and Elisabeth A. Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education at Harvard University. He is an expert in human intelligence and is the author of Multiple Intelligences.

The seven intelligences proposed by Gardner in his book Multiple Intelligences:

  1. linguistic
  2. logical-mathematical
  3. spatial
  4. bodily-kinesthetic
  5. musical
  6. interpersonal
  7. intrapersonal

Later, Gardner added naturalistic intelligence and moral intelligence to his theory of multiple intelligences.
