"In God We Trust" is the slogan found on all American currency.

The phrase was first authorized for American coins in 1864, and first imprinted on them in 1866.[1]

For nearly 150 years United States dollar coins included this motto on one flat side of the coin, but in 2007 the new George Washington dollar coin includes this motto only in small print on the edge of the coin.
