Jack Conway is the liberal Attorney General of Kentucky who ran against conservative Rand Paul for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Jim Bunning's retirement.
A Democrat, Conway is best known for denying liberal positions he took in the past, and trying to run on a conservative platform.
In 2015, he ran for the position of Governor of Kentucky, but lost to Tea Party Republican Matt Bevin.[1]
