James "Bo" Gritz

James "Bo" Gritz was a famed Green Beret officer during the Vietnam War who is perhaps best known for his 1980s exploits attempting to locate American prisoners of war in Southeast Asia, following his resignation from the Special Forces. Subsequent political activities included running for President on the Populist Party ticket in 1992, and serving as the mediator between Randy Weaver and the FBI during the Ruby Ridge siege in Idaho in 1992.
