Jill Stanek

Jill Stanek is an outspoken advocate for life and a leading blogger on the issue. She was a registered nurse in the Labor & Delivery Department at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, where discovered not only were abortions being committed there, but also that babies were being aborted alive to die without medical care. First she objected to the management of the hospital. When they took no action to stop the practice, Jill Stanek publicized the atrocity.

Jill Stanek suffered retaliation in her career for speaking in favor of life. She was terminated at her job in 2001.

Jill Stanek has received numerous honors, including:

  • On August 5, 2002, President George W. Bush invited her to his signing of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, and thanked publicly during his speech.
  • In January 2003, World magazine honored her as one of the 30 most prominent pro-life leaders in the past 30 years.
  • On November 5, 2003, President Bush invited her to his signing of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban.
  • In January 2009, Jill Stanek received the prestigious Life Prizes Award by the Gerard Foundation.

Jill Stanek is a weekly columnist for WorldNetDaily. She has been quoted widely in newspapers and appeared on numerous television and radio shows. She has also testified twice before the Judiciary Constitution Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as in several state legislatures, and is a frequent speaker at state and local pro-life events.
