Jim Bowie

James "Jim" Bowie (April 10, 1796 – March 6, 1836) was a 19th century Texan-Mexican-American since, at the time of his death Texas was still an independent Republic, though being born in Kentucky, he is officially American, he was proud to say he was Texan. Bowie was also a Mexican citizen by marriage.

He is famous for his role in the Texas War of Independence, and also recognized for his invention of the Bowie knife.
