Jonathan Dewayne Smith is a National Football League wide receiver for the New England Patriots. He was born on November 28, 1981 in Argyle, Georgia.

NFL Career

In 2004 the Buffalo Bills drafted Smith in the seventh round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played mostly as a kickoff returner and backup wide receiver on the Bills until the team released him before the first regular season game of the 2006 season. Shortly after being released, he was signed by the New England Patriots. The Patriots only activated him to play in two games in 2006 and he did not accumulated any statics, neverless, the Patriots resigned him at the conclusion of the 2006 season and he is expected to fight and uphill battle to earn a spot with the Patriots receiver unit in 2007.
