The Kansas City Chiefs are an NFL team in the American Football Conference based out of Kansas City, Missouri. The team lost Super Bowl I to the Green Bay Packers, and won Super Bowl IV over the Minnesota Vikings. The team's head coach is Herman Edwards, and its general manager is Carl Peterson. The Chiefs play in Arrowhead Stadium.

The team was named as such as an homage to former Kansas City mayor H. Roe Bartle, who was nicknamed "The Chief" due to his position in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, an organization affiliated with the Boy Scouts.
